NFL CONFIDENCE PICKS WEEK 4 09/28–10/01/23

  MY GAMES TO WATCH:  Who may lose their first game of the year.  DOLPHINS 3-0.  Can the 2-1 BILLS end the win streak.  Will  the 2-1 COMMANDERS knock off the unbeaten 3-0 EAGLES.  What if the 1-2 CARDINALS go on a tear and upset the 3-0 49’ERS? On the flip side we have four teams tied with ZERO wins, and it just happens the four teams face off against each other, (sort of),  VIKINGS 0-3 will invade the home of the 0-3 PANTHERS.   The 0-3 BRONCOS travel to Chicago to face the 0-3 BEARS.  We definitely will only have two winless teams after this week end.  (Of course we could still end up with two ties)       For those of you who are new here. This is how confidence ranking goes, let me explain. If we were playing an office pool,(which we ARE NOT).  The object is to score the most points. To obtain the score YOU rank the teams by how confident you are a team will win its game.  EXAMPLE:  Say this week we have 16 games.  The team you are most confident will win you would assign the number 16 and follow down to the team you are least confident in and assign that number 1.   You add up the TOTAL CORRECT PICKS.. That would be your score.  We use the Monday night (Last game played) as a TIE BREAKER.  The tie is broken by the closest to the total (that is the COMBINED score of the two participating teams) final score, without going over. YOU can adopt the scoring  described above.  Or, the optional method.  A  negative score for missed games.  We will continue to get a positive score for correct predictions.  EXAMPLE:   if you scored     1 pt on the first game and you had 15 pts on the second game and lost you would still have  1 pt. 1.  HOWEVER. with the same scenario new scoring system would result with a –14 score If we were playing this is how my sheet would look;  My pick will be in bold Capital letters.  you can use circling, underlining, or highlighting.  I will show my correct points in Bold I will fill in my picks Thursday.  Until then feel free to: Just copy and paste for your own Fun Pool Use.  Or to see if you can beat me. NFL CONFIDENCE PICKS WEEK 2 09-14-17-18/ 2023

    GIANTS:  Have biggest comeback since 1949.  Starting the season with a 40-0 loss against the Cowboys last week,  the Giants managed to extend that scoreless streak to 60 points before they scored against the Cardinals.  According to NFL RedZone, the last team to get outscored at least 60-0 to start a season was the 1978 Baltimore Colts, who were outscored 80-0 in the first two games of their season.  Avoiding an  0-2 start The Giants  trailed by 21, and had not come back to win after trailing by 20 or more since Nov. 19, 1950 vs. the Baltimore Colts, according to Fox Sports. They hadn’t come back from 21 down since 1949, when they did it against the Chicago Cardinals. JETS: QB Aaron Rodgers out for rest of season with TORN ACHILLES. NFL CONFIDENCE PICKS WEEK 1 09-07-10-11/ 2023

WELCOME TO ANOTHER YEAR OF YOUR FAVORITE NFL SITE WHERE YOU PIT YOUR TEAM PICKING TALENT AGAINST ME. This “CONFIDENCE” Rating I started in 1991 as an “OFFICE POOL”,  then other “OFFICES’ want to join.  I then started it as a computer thing which allowed other to make their picks on line, rather than having to hand deliver them to me.  As now it was more for bragging rights, than anything else.  I can’t remember when it became a blog site.   So sit back and relax and see if you can make better picks than me.  (I’m sure it happens more often than I care to admit. The only thing I don’t like is the NFL contracts with PRIME VIDEO AND PARAMOUNT.  i just cannot justify paying a subscription fee to watch, what ( 1 game a week which I really am not a fan of either of the teams playing?).
