IMPORTANT UPDATE FOURTH AMMENDMENT

I just read in USA Today an article which states our United States Supreme Court by a vote of 8 to 1 voted to support WARRANTLESS ENTRY. Essentially, from what I understand, the 8 justices voted to leave it up to the individual POLICE , THE PEOPLE, no claim to the 4th Amendment.   We all know what that means. Now I can’t say about all Law Enforcement Officers,  in the area I live our Police feel they are above the law, as it is.  This disturbing ruling just gives them more power they aren’t equipped to handle.  How many times have we recently read where our people sworn to “SERVE and PROTECT”  have overstepped their boundaries, and above the law.  I can’t tell you how many have been caught and punished.  But more have not been caught.  I have seen them make arrests for underage drinking, confiscating the beverages, the late saw them selling to underage drinkers from the trunk of their cruiser.  I know of one Chief of Police who became a cop because he was arrested in Florida for drugs.  His father just happened to be mayor of his home town and convinced the Florida Police his son was a member of our local police force and was working undercover.  When he came back he was on the police force. We all know of his continued involvement in drugs, but are helpless to  do anything about it.  A member of our County Sheriff’s department was investigating him.  He was STRONGLY advised to “back off”.  Our county commissioners are pretty much in the same boat.  When I asked them about it I was told this.  “If we act, we cannot be sure that our children or other family members may not be arrested for drugs.  He has a reputation of planting drugs, on innocent people.  Or in their vehicles or homes. Only Ruth Bader Ginsburg voted against this action stating the it was an affront to our constitutional 4th Ammendment Right. That Is How I See It.             have been became Views: 155

Fourth Ammendment Overturned?

MUNSTER, INDIANA.  A small town approximately 29 miles SE of Chicago, Illinois. Court rules CITIZENS do not have the right to resist illegal entry of  POLICE. Is this a violation of our Fourth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.  This amendment in our BILL OF RIGHTS, (The rights of people),  reads.   RIGHT OF SEARCH AND SEIZURE RESTRICTED The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. You may want to read this again just to be sure you read it the same as I do.  Which I interpret to mean.  People are to be SECURE in the knowledge that the GOVERNMENT, (police included) can not just enter your house, without either your invitation, or acquiring a warrant and undergoing the proper channels to secure the warrant.  If these rules are not followed it is  CONSTITUTIONALLY ILLEGAL entry.  Just the same as if they were burglars. HOWEVER, the INDIANA SUPREME COURT ruled 3 to 2 against the 4th Amendment.  Stating, “The Court is the place to resist”. In other words we will decide (after the fact),. No properly issued warrant is necessary for police to storm your house, and do whatever they please.  Then if you survive, and are willing and can afford to fight in court The STATE, (essentially, the employer of the police, will decide if it was legal). The story behind this ruling is this.  A man yelled at and blocked police entry to his home during an alleged DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE, call.  (I say Alleged because I found no evidence to justify such a call in my investigation.  I do not have access to the records, and did not travel the distance for further evidence.  Therefore it may have been called in by someone).  By the way the man was tasered.  I don’t know if any other charges were filed or if they even found anything. This is one of those things the ACLU (American Civil  liberties, Union) was created to  protect.  But most likely will not pursue.  Because they are now the ANTI CHRISTIAN LAWYERS UNION,  and will only get involved if it is a way to remove GOD from our country. Do we now live in a POLICE STATE? Let me know if you think I am wrong,  Or express your opinion if you think I am right’ That Is How I See It.       have been involved Views: 185

Property Tax Capped? Raise Rates

Our state implemented a 1.1% cap on property taxes about 3 years ago.  The 1.1% is of appraised value.  (You have to watch what the governments appraised value is.  The last time they appraised my property at 2 times the market value. I had to pay for a private appraisal, and file for a hearing to get the proper appraised value). Anyhow, the people were happy with the cap.  After all the government had previously did away with business inventory tax, not to mention the tax abatement that big business received.  Finally, We The People,  were receiving some relief from the higher taxes we were paying to offset the breaks business was getting. WRONG!! it was just announced in our local paper the County Government has decided, (now get this).  Due to the many foreclosed homes, and the decreased value of property, it is deemed necessary to raise the tax rate.  That means the assessed value tax stays at 1.1% we just pay a higher rate on that 1.1%.  We were paying “$ X” per $1000,oo appraised value. Now we will pay #$ 2X” per $1000.oo  appraised value. “Gotcha again”  says the Government. That Is How I See It. Views: 130

Anti-Union State Governments

Wisconsin and Indiana legislators are currently split over a bill which would essentially KILL unions.  It would not be the first time for this type of Genocide. History shows the need for unions.  Before unions there were no 5 day work weeks, rarely were there any benefits, medical, retirement, vacations, etc. We had child labor.  Sweat Shops.  Poor working conditions.  So many things workers now enjoy.  The quality of living was so low and little hope of getting better. Now for 3 views on UNIONS. A friend of mine is very anti union.  He blames all the woes in the world on Unions.  According to him we would have more jobs,  and things would not cost so much.  It is the greedy union members who earn too much and drive up costs of the products they make.  Everyone would be able to own big houses, new cars, just about everything would be better without Unions. Another friend of mine works in an Union shop, and claims they do nothing for the members.  This is true in their place of employment.  Unions are only as strong as their membership.  In this case the membership is so weak,  they never fight for anything.   They bargain for a benefits, working conditions, and shop rules.  But when the company violates items of the AGREEMENT,  the company falls back on “THE RIGHT TO MANAGE”.  Example.  One item calls for a 3 step procedure before termination.  1. Verbal Warning.  2 Written Warning.  3. Time off without pay.  Recently in this down turn in economy.  The Company has taken it upon themselves to make this a first time infraction…TERMINATION.  How?  Right to Manage.  The Union just says OK.  As you can see although the members pay the dues,  the Company really runs the Union.  Thank all Unions are not this bad. My view.  Unions are very much needed.  Without them many jobs would be eliminated.  No overtime, vacation, retirement, medical and life insurance, no breaks, and many many other things we would be doing without.  You anti-union people  don’t realize you benefit from unions also.  If the unions did not win these concessions, do you think you would be enjoying the higher wages, and benefits, you have.  NO!  How many of your children have benefited from the the things unions fought and sacrificed for. Just think how our quality of life rose during unions haydays.  The fifties, and sixties.  Were great for the people.  IBM,  known as a great place to work,  A friend of mine who worked his way up from a floor laborer, to a Vice Presidential,  position explained the reason for IBM’s success as a great work place, was managements recognization of union negotions.  He told me they would offer the same benefits, and sometimes a step better to keep there people and not have any breaks due to strikes, etc. Things were going great.  Then Reagan, a former Union President, became President of the United Stats.  You remember him as the Great Union Breaker.    After he broke the air controllers union,  Unions began losing strength.   I wonder if he would have approved of his own actions if  the government had tried to break his union at the time he was prsident of  his Union.  Then we had Clinton as President of the United States,  he was also a Union Breaker, only more deadly.  He said.  I have a great idea.  If you don’t like unions in your company take the jobs to foreign countries.  Code name,  (NAFTA). What does this do with our legislators not meeting and staying out of their state?  When you lack numbers to win a battle you have to look at alternatives.  Boycotting has always been a very effective way of combat.  Provided you can secure the numbers to be effective.  As is see it this is the only weapon these legislators have at their disposal to do what their constituents ask of them. As for the UNION members.  Members must also take into the state of the country, it’s economy, and the effects of NAFTA.  when they go to the bargaining table.  Use some common sense in what they are asking for. Unions are good for America. That Is How I See It. Views: 140

Noah’s Ark Park In Kentucky

Noah’s Ark Park is to be built in an as yet to be determined site in the Great State of Kentucky.  Currently an 800 acre site, off of Interstate 75 is being considered, about 40 minutes from Cincinnati .  The cost is estimated to be $150 million, by a  for profit group.  The  ark  itself will be funded by donations.  The purpose is to lend assurance that Noah could have two of every animals on the ark. Now as I understand the account of Noah’s Ark.  It doesn’t mean like 2 Clydesdale horses and 2 Arab horses.  It would just be 2 horses.  It doesn’t say they were adult animals.  Canines, although we have various breeds. I’m sure there was only one breed.  So I can see having all life forms represented. But I have strayed from my original thought.  There is a group called “Americans United for Separation of Church and State, (AUSCS) opposing the State of Kentucky giving tax incentives for the project.  Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear states, “bringing new jobs to Kentucky in my top priority”, and that he is “happy about the economic impact this project will have on the Northern Kentucky region.” First you will have the construction jobs.  Then, according to the sources I have checked.  The park will create approximately 900 permanent jobs, and  have a $214 million economic impact the first year of operation alone. Regardless what the AUSCS, believes this is a business just as, lets say General Electric decided to build a facility on that 800 acres.  They neither one are a Government entity.  By the way the biggest objection I have heard from the AUSCS is that State funds should not be used for the project because it has a religious theme.  But back to the tax incentive.  Business is Business as long it is a legal entity. I’m sure they would not object if say Disney decided to put in a park and asked for the same tax incentives. I’m never in favor of tax incentives for business, because I have to make up for the tax revenue lost.  But in these times I can tell you.  After seeing my friends and relatives out of work for over 2 years now,  I would consider it a viable option.  We sure could use those jobs in my area.  If Kentucky doesn’t want them contact me I’m sure my state will gladly give the tax incentives. Sometimes you just have to look at the big picture  In this case the Benefits of the park far outweigh the petty objections of a few people who probably don’t even live in the area.
