Formerly called DECORATION DAY. MEMORIAL DAY is a day set aside to honor our Military men and women who died in service of our country. Celebrated on the last Monday of May. Established to honor the fallen soldiers of our Civil War, both Union, and Confederate. Later extended to all honor all our soldiers killed in defense of our country, the United States of America. Now days we also take this time to remember all our loved ones. I think many Americans have forgotten the reason we have Memorial Day. To many it has become a day off with pay. A day of outdoor grilling, and party. A long weekend for a mini vacation. And to some The Greatest Spectacle In Racing, The Indy 500. It is great we can have all these things. But let’s at least take a moment of this day to remember our fallen soldiers who by their death gave us this opportunity. That Is How I See It. Views: 142

North, South
This will be an extremely short post. When considering the history of the United States of America, it seems we have been trying to make up for the Civil War ever since it ended. As you all know the North, (The Union) won out over the South, (The Confederates). Doesn’t seem a coincidence we always seem to support the SOUTH in most of our recent war/conflicts, whatever you want to call it. We supported the SOUTH Korean government during the Korean conflict, and still do. We supported the SOUTH Vietnamese. Are there any others I am forgetting, or don’t know of. It seems if there is a NORTH or SOUTH we side with the South. I’d bet if Canada had a Civil War, We would side with SOUTH Canada. Oh well. Just a thought. That Is How I See It. have been Views: 133
