2025 NCAA MARCH MADNESS Pick Sheet

. Attention:  We are currently in the process of moving to a NEW URL!!!!.  We are now on and will be found at    http://fromthemiddle.blog  . For a limited time if you use the old http://fromthemiddleblog.com  .  you will be redirected to the current url  you are seeing now. WARNING: What you see below is an editorial comment from an OLD PLAYER and fan. I was pretty disappointed in a lot of the officiating in Wednesday round 1.  I know they haven’t made a lot of calls that we of the 1950-1960 era would have been called for.       1. We would have been called for “PALMING THE BALL” , that occurs when the dribbler turns the  ball up toward the ceiling and then down to dribble. (this allows the ball handler to get an extra step between dribbles, and throws off the timing of the  defender.                                                           2. I saw a player reach out and dribble two times to bring the ball back to him. (Obviously he had control of the ball or he couldn’t get the ball to him.  He then picked up the ball, held it and then began to dribble> DOUBLE DRIBBLE!                                                                                                 3. Then we have the “DUNK’ .  A shot that was definitely a goal tend, as the DUNKERS hand is inside the invisible extension above the rim.  NOW as a defender I am barred from reaching into this area or I will be called for goal tending.  A shot so easy for these kids who can easily reach the rim.  If they allow this i would value the shot at 1/2 point.    (When we played the average height for a man was 5 foot 8 inches, thus putting the rim more than 4 feet over their head.  (There were exceptions of course, you occasionally would find a player over 6 feet tall).  TIME TO RAISE THE RIM guys.  When we played BASKETBALL was a non contact sport.  If you touched an opposing player it was a foul.   NOT TO MENTION; we were amateur athletes .  NOW with the players getting Thousands of dollars in scholorships, they are now paid by schools and outside sources to play at certain schools.  (MINI NBA PRO).  There are so many things players get by with now.  It isn’t basketball anymore.  I know things change due to what the younger people want.  But I have always held Basketball in the highest esteem.  I hate seeing the new game. BUT  still I watch. O.L. Thymer   Rick Pitino of St John’s, and his son Richard Pition coach of New Mexico BECAME the FIRST FATHER AND SON TO WIN NCAA BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT GAMES IN THE SAME YEAR.  Richard Pitino lead his New Mexico team to an Upset  vicotry over Marquette.  While his Father Rick Pitino beat Omaha. ALABAMA St: WINS IT’S FIRST EVER TOURNAMENT GAME  !!! Sorry for the delay.  If you have been trying to see us you will have noticed our SERVER has been down for a couple of weeks.  We got hit really hard and spent all this time getting it up again.  Just this morning we got things together.  I don’t know why we were hit unless someone thinks we are growing too much.   We want to thank the people at GRAITSITES  for all the work they put in. Welcome to our 34 th ANNUAL version of MARCH MADNESS !!! Yes I will have “MY PICKS” so you can compare your picks to mine. (And Laugh or Cry)I will have A “MASTER BRACKET”,  “WHAT IF YOU CHOSE THE HIGH PICKS”  for each game.  Yes I will have MY PICKS.      An “UPSET” will be RED on “ALL HIGH PICKS”  Bracket.  GREEN indicate HIGH SEED Win. What is a seed?  Merely a starting place.  Although unlikely, IT is possible for two 16 seeds to meet in the final game.  Would lets say were, Michigan St., to be seeded as a number 16.  They would still have  to win all games to be CHAMPION ! SEEDING: Attempts to give a more favored team an easier path to the CHAMPIONSHIP.  Seeding should lead to  the best 2 teams playing in the final game.  However there  is always that upset minded team;  or  the chance that the favored team has a bad game, a stand out player is sick or injured.   For more information feel free to go to…     https://ftm.coursemateai.com/home 🏀 I   pinned Artie Fischal into revealing some of his picks.  HERE YOU ARE FINAL FOUR:  Kansas Jayhawks,  Duke Blue Devils,  Purdue Boilermakers, and San Deigo Aztecs. SEMI FINALS: Kansas Jayhawks,  Duke Blue Devils. CHAMPION:  Duke Blue Devils NOTE: To enlarge pick sheets; HOVER over the sheet.  Look at bottom of sheet and click the (+) PLUS . NFL Confidence Picks Week 9 10-31–11-4 2013

What an ugly game Monday night.  Too many flags; but isn’t that true in more and more games this year.  Probably the best play this week was Pryor;s  93 yard touchdown scamper.  (Longest by a QB.)  On the other hand the UGLIEST play was Seattle’s TATE,  taunting TD.  His actions show how immature some of the PROFESSIONAL  ATHLETES are.   Maybe why a goodly amount of these instant millionaires are broke a few years down the line.   With this kind of maturity,  one wonders what occupation they would be in,  if he had not been fortunate enough to make the big leagues. I am pretty proud of my picks.  I only missed 3 games, and gave up 11 points. HOW did you do?  DID you beat me?   Probably not. Good Luck this week.   I will fill in my picks Thursday.  Until then feel free to: Just copy and paste for your own Fun Pool Use.  Or to see if you can beat me. NFL Confidence Picks week 8 10-24–28-2013

My picks were certainly nothing to write home about.  I could plead that the injuries took me down a bit; but NO excuses.  I just haven’t figured out how to factor the in game injury into my formula. You probably all beat me this week. But that is the way the FOOTBALL bounces, (fimmy). But this is a new week I can usually factor in the injuries I know of before the game.  But to what extent those injuries will affect the game.  Sometimes the replacement player surprises you and does better than the injured player. I will fill in my picks Thursday.  Until then feel free to: Just copy and paste for your own Fun Pool Use.  Or to see if you can beat me.
