HOWEVER, for some reason my gut is saying “Bet on the Bengals” . I think the 2 teams are very much an equal match. A toss up. BUT, the RAMS, do have that home field advantage. All that said. NFL WILD CARD CONFIDENCE PICKS 01/15-16-17/2021
I really don’t like doing these play off games. It is so hard to tell if a lower rank team will play over their head. Or a higher ranked team will be over confident and play badly. Then you have the reason it is called “WILD CARD”. The officials. The most unpredictable people on the field. Of course they have many things they are trying to watch for at the same time. But I really think, sometimes, it depends on their attitude at game time, which may change at any time, even several times during a game. (BUT it does seem they always favor the HOME team. I don’t really get the RED “skin”, part. But, a tribute to the way our Native American’s way of life. The way they fought for their land and lifestyle ). The object is to score the most points. To obtain the score YOU rank the teams by how confident you are a team will win its game. EXAMPLE: Say this week we have 16 games. The team you are most confident will win you would assign the number 16 and follow down to the team you are least confident in and assign that number 1. You add up the TOTAL CORRECT PICKS.. That would be your score. We use the Monday night (Last game played) as a TIE BREAKER. The tie is broken by the closest to the total (that is the COMBINED score of the two participating teams) final score, without going over. YOU can adopt the scoring described above. Or, the optional method. A negative score for missed games. We will continue to get a positive score for correct predictions. EXAMPLE: if you scored 1 pt on the first game and you had 15 pts on the second game and lost you would still have 1 pt. 1.
