GIVES KANSAS CITY CHIEFS PLAY OFF BERTH HOUSTON TEXANS CLINCH AFL SOUTH DIVISION TITLE This is one of those weeks we wonder about. Will we see the best side of teams which have clinched their division titles: or will they rest thier starters. I prefer to see them compete all of the way through the season. But, unless you have an unbeaten season, WHY risk injuries. GIANTS LOSS ELEVATES COWBOY TO NFC EAST TITLE RECAP WEEK 15: This week we had zero (0) ties. But that doesn’t mean we were deprived of nail-biters. Three ,(3), games were decided by THREE (3) points. Those were Green Bay Packers escaping the Chicago Bears 30–27. (I was a little surprised the score was this close). Also we watched the Oakland Raiders beat the San Diego Chargers 19-16. With a total of 2 points difference the Tennessee Titans surprised the Kansas Chiefs 19-17. Pretty close games: Right? Wait for it now we get to the REAL, NAIL-BITERS. Two games were separated by ONE ,(1), mere point. That action saw the Baltimore Ravens, beat, the Eagles from Philadelphia: 27-26. AND a second game margin of 1 point. Houston Texans escaped, (at the last second), 21-20 If you can’t have a tie or OT One (1) point is the next best thing. This week and one more week will mark the end of the REGULAR SEASON. RECAP WEEK 13: Last week we had no OT’s. No Ties. We did have 2 blow out games. Both were PRIMETIME games. (What happened to flexible scheduling? ) Sunday night the Seattle SEAHAWKS blew away the Carolina PANTHERS, 40-7. 33 Pt difference. That is more than some teams scored, Heck, that is more some game totals. The other was the romp of the Indianapolis COLTS over the New York Jets. 41-10. I can remeber when these two teams were what I considered a real rivalry. It didn’t matter whether the Jets Or Colts were having an outstanding season with the other having a mediocre to terrible season. When the two teams met it was a toss up. We are in crunch time now. This week and only 3 more remain in regular season. We saw Teams, SOME of the TOP teams KEY players suffer season ending injuries. How will this play out. If you go by my philosophy; NEXT man up should perform as well as the man he replaces, (Or real close to it). That means little difference in the play. IF THE COACH HAS DONE HIS JOB. It takes time to adjust. But a really good coach will have planned for something like this and worked THAT NEXT MAN UP enough with the team, there will be familiarity, and YES there will be a little difference. Our Basketball coach always said “We have no STARTERS. Every player has something to contribute”. The final four for the NCAA Football Championship is out. I would like to know HOW Ohio State, which did not make the BIG TEN Championship game. NFL CONFIDENCE PICKS WEEK 10 10/10 – 13 – 14/2016
Recap: This week there was only 1 OT game, O TIES, and 1 game by 3 or less I missed 2 games. LionsVs Vikings….& Colts Vs Packers. That’s It! NFL Confidence Picks Week 9 11-3-6-7/ 2016
CUBS WIN!!! CUBS WIN!!! What an exciting WORLD SERIES. One of the best in ages. Two teams with long abscenes from a TITLE. battled down to the wire. The Cubs join an elite club of teams who have come from a 3-1 deficit to WIN THE WORLD SERIES. It took all 7 games and top that off with an EXTRA INNING. What a way to end the seanson. AND SO FAR I HAVE HEARD OF NO MIS-BEHAVIOR ON THE PART OF EITHER TEAMS FANS. Job well done by both teams. RECAP: This makes the second week in a row we have had a game end in a tie. Last week it was, tow of the best teams. Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals, which ended 6 to 6. (I would be amiss if I fail to mention Seattles QB was and is still playing hurt; HOWEVER, moved his team down the field for what SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE WINNING FG. This week was a mild surprise with the Washington Redskins playing to a tie wiht the Cincinnati Bengals. There were three OT games. The afore mentioned Redskins and Bengals 27-27. Oakland Raiders, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with the Raiders pulling out a 6 pt win. Sunday nights game Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys. Dallas scored a 29 -23 win. There were 2 games decided by 3 or less points. Jets over Browns 31-28. Falcons over Packers 33-32. How about that? Three (3) OT games and a ONE (1) pointer. Pretty good games, I must say. At this time I would like to point out (not counting the non game tie), I only missed TWO (2) games this week. HOW DID YOU DO? Just a word regarding the disrespect SOME “PRO” athletes are showing our COUNTRY. We all have rules we follow at our work place. We don’t always agree with. But while at work we have to follow those rules. What we do on our own time is up to us. These ATHLETES, (Although they don’t like to think of it this way THEY are EMPLOYEES. THEY SHOULD FOLLOW RULES SET BY THEIR EMPLOYERS. Actions of employees AT WORK, Reflect on the employer. Thus if a Pro Athlete, shows disrespect for the country, apparently their EMPLOYER, must approve of the action and supports it. If the employee doesn’t agree HE or SHE can take it up with their UNION. Until an agrrement is reached the employee can either accept the rule, (for the time being), OR SUSPENDED WITHOUT PAY. Now this is how things are handled in real life. We must remember they do not live in the real world, (apparently). So by allowing this show of disrespect must be condoned by OWNERS, AND SURE DO NOT DESERVE MY AMERICAN MONEY. I could list many, many times I have been on the losing end of DISCRIMINATION. FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING Allows teams to play their way onto the Sunday night schedule In 2006 the NFL implemented a primetime “flexible scheduling” element on Sundays in Weeks 10-15 and in Week 17. In 2014 that was extended so that games between Weeks 5 and 17 could be affected by flex scheduling. However, only two games may be flexed into Sunday Night between Week 5 and 10. Flexible scheduling ensured quality matchups on Sunday night in those weeks and gave surprise teams a chance to play their way onto primetime. The NBC Sunday night time slot for “flex” weeks lists the game tentatively scheduled for Sunday night. Only Sunday afternoon games are eligible to be moved to Sunday night, in which case the tentatively scheduled Sunday night game will be moved to an afternoon start time. Flexible scheduling will not be applied to games airing on Thursday, Saturday or Monday nights. Just as the six major college football conferences have done for many years, the NFL has the flexibility to move the start times of games on Sundays, using a 12-day notice format. For example, a game scheduled for a Sunday could move from a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff to an 8:15 p.m. start, but the change would be made and announced no later than the prior Tuesday, 12 days prior.
